Family Roots

I love to visit Lets Scrap ning group and see that sketch is posted. When I saw the sketch for this week I knew exactly what photos I was going to use. I love when that happens. I have had these photos since 2001 and I am finally getting them all scrapped. Thanks for all the great sketches.

Creating is fun!!

I love to find online crops and check out the challenges. I am a member of Crop and Chat on Cafemom. I love all the challenges they come up with. They have an online crop going on now until the 30th. Go check it out. Here are some LO's I did for some of the challenges posted.

I love to scrap about my boys. I am sad because they are getting older and I will not be a big part of their lives. I think they have grown too fast. This LO is a photo of my boys at their great Grandma's in Maryland. Ever since they were little we have taken their photo in front of the old chicken coop. that is now a shed. It is amazing how fast they grow.

I also wanted to share a new blog I found. They have some great challenges. I hope that they don't mind that I entered a LO and not a card. Stamp, Scrap and Doodle! Go check them out!!!

ooohhhh....

I found a challenge at "if the shoe fits, Scrap it!" and had to do it.
I only got a few of the sketches done, but plan on doing the rest this week.

This one was based on the 5th sketch, I had to really think about this one...

Camping Fun
I wanted to follow the sketch but needed to add an extra photo. I think it came out great!

I did a 2 page LO based on the 4th sketch. I did not have the right colored chipboard alpha's and embellishments so I painted them to match. I think it turned out good. Hard to tell that the embellishments were bright yellow before I painted them.

This one was based on the last sketch in the challenge.

This one was based on the first sketch in the challenge. I turned it sideways.

So happy to be scrapping...

I have gotten several more LO's done tonight. I love all the ning groups I am a member of. I can always find inspiration, motivation and challenges!!

Tonight I went to the Scrap that group and found these challenges for August.

Week 2 challenge: (yes, I am late!!)

Six Flags

Week 3 challenge:
Ahhhhh...

I actually used the sketch to create 2 LO's!
What a catch

My niece was over while I was scrapping and she wanted to make a page. So I gave her some pictures of herself and her friend and she made a great page. I was impressed. I totally forgot to take a photo of it when I took her home so I took a pic with my phone. Not the best photo, but you get the idea.
Photobucket

She is a little artist. Loves to draw and create. I think she is a scrapper in the making!!!!!

Well that is it for tonight. I should be scrapping again tomorrow night. See you then.

Well I am right on track... I think!

I had a New Years Resolution to scrap a LO a day. Or what is equal to that. I think that I have accomplished that so far this year. I have been busy scrapping most of my free time. My family has been very supportive. (As long as I feed them! lol!!) My Hubby and even put up with my long nights scrapping and then uploading to my blog.
I know that it will be well worth it in the long run.

Here are a few LO's I got done tonight while chatting with Kathy!

This one was based on this weeks sketch at 52 sketches

I think I found my MoJo!!!

I have been busy creating. It is nice when I can sit down and create several LO's in one night. I have been surfing all the ning groups I am a member of to find challenges. I also looked at my groups on Cafemom!! I found several great challenges.

This one I found on CafeMom in the Artistic Papercrafting group.
Twins
The challenge was to use paint on your LO. I used paint to make the "Footprints".

Here is a LO that I did based on a challenge on Cafemom in the Scrappin mom's group.

Scrapin mom's Love
It was a sketch challenge! I turned it sideways.

This LO was based on a challenge posted at Scrapbooking and crafting friends in the Ning forum. I had a great time making this LO. Made me want to go back to Chicago and hang out with Kathy. I will bring the hubby the next time I go.

Here is a LO that I did on my own. I had these bubble bath photos of my nieces and I wanted to make a LO with bubbles. This is what I came up with.
Bubble Bath!

Here is another one based on a challenge posted at Scrapbooking and Crafting friends.
We were challenged to use Live green, hot pink and chocolate brown.
Best Friends

Here is a LO based on the sketch posted at Lets Scrap ning group.
I had fun with it!
What an adventure

Goodness... I did not realize that I got so many LO's done. I still have more to post!!

Ok, next we have a LO based on a sketch I found online. I cannot find the original post. If I do come across it I will be sure to share it with you.

I had fun with it. I used a photo of my oldest son when he was 1. He is 18 now. I found these older photos and had to scrap them.
Our Boy

Here is a LO based on challenge posted at Artistic Papercrafting on CafeMom. We were given titles from Dr. Suess books to use as the titles to our page. Here is mine!
Artistic Title challenge

Here is a LO that was based on a challenge that was posted in one of the groups, but I cannot find out which group it was. I am so slacking!! Sorry. If I figure out where it was, I will post a link. I FOUND IT!!! It was posted at Scrapbooking and crafting friends. We were challenged to use Chipboard on our LO.
Old cars LO

Ok, we are at the last LO!! I am tired of typing. I cannot believe I got this many done. And really I got 3 more done for the design teams I am on too!! So that is a lot of LO's! I am happy about that.
On this LO I was playing with my new paper. It is by Cordination and it is soooo cool. I sanded the paper with a mask under it to get the swirls. I love it. Not real happy with the LO, but it will do. There is hidden journalling behind the top photo.

I hate being sick!!!

It never fails that I get sick after a vacation. Not sure why that happens.... but it does.
So I have had a headache, fever and sore throat all week. Finally feeling better today.
I wanted to post these LO's earlier but just did not have the energy.

So here they are...

This one was based on a sketch at 52 sketches

Finding my MoJo!

Well I think that I am beginning to find my MoJo again. I feel the creative juices beginning to flow...

A LO of my niece. She is such a nut!

And just when I thought my MoJo was flowing...

Here is a LO from my Chicago trip. I am not totally happy with it. I will probably revisit it tomorrow. Just too tired to think!

These LO's were based on challenges posted at The Scrappy Patch on Cafemom.

I am happy to be scrapping again. It is definitely and stress reliever for me!

My first LO since I reorganized!

Well I decided to work on a LO last night and see if I could get it done in one night. I was already making some Hat Pins thanks to a great tutorial that a friend posted on Cafe Mom. Here is the link... Adina

So this is it...

My Boys

The swirls are hand stitched. I found the templates in my stash of tools when I reorganized. I had a lot of fun making all the elements on the LO.

Photobucket

I am finally getting organized!!

Well, more than usual!! I was able to get a great revolving shelving unit from a local store that was going out of business. When I originally saw it they wanted $75 for it. Too much for me. Would rather buy scrapping supplies. Then I went back a few days later and it was on $25. I still was not convinced I needed it until I went home that night and looked at my dinning room table. We had not eating on the dinning room table in months because all my scrap stuff is all over it. So I went back the next day and bought it! Now I am sooooo happy I did. We have been able to eat at the dinning room table for the last 2 days!!

Here are some photos of my $25 find!!

I am sure I will rearrange it a few times before I get it right. I have already moved a few things.
