So happy to be scrapping!!

Well most of you know that I am a happy scrapper. Or should I say... I am happy when I am scrapping. I have been busy this week. Trying to get some older photos scrapped and still get some new ones done too. It is hard to stay caught up, just when I think I am caught up I find a new box. But, atleast it gives me something else to scrap!!!

Design Team Altered Item

We were challenged to find an item to alter...

I decided to alter a DVD case. We always make a DVD of our photos from each year and send my grandmother a copy. This year I made a case to go with it. Here is what I did:

This was a LO inspired by the lyrics from the song by Kimberley Lock. A friend sent the lyrics to me because she said it reminded her of me.

I love to make LO's about my dad. He is my mentor and inspiration. He is there when I need him and is always lending a helping hand to anyone in need!!

Busy Week!!

Well I have been busy this week getting some LO's done. I wanted to share them with you. I have been trying the layering technique and have used it on a few of them. Let me know what you think!!

A page for my youngest son. He is a very sweet boy and gets a lot of negative comments from his brothers, so I did this LO to let him know it is ok to be himself.

Love Notes Clipboard

I love this!!! I used my versamark and my Stazon. I am so going to go buy more of this stuff. Well, I will probably wait for my tax return and then I can buy a lot of it!!

So here it is.

I used an acrylic 5x7 clipboard and stamped with some Fiskars stamp and Stazon. That was the coolest thing. Then I stamped "Love" on the top. I then created the paper for the back and added the "Notes" to it to make a 3D look. Then I started stamping with the Versamark to get the water mark look and also used destressing ink. Once I was happy with it I ran it through the Xyron the wrong way and attached it to the back of the clipboard. Then I rubbed the Stazon along the edges of the clipboard. I love how it turned out.

Recycling LO

This was a challenge in Tallyscrapper's. We had to use 5 things that are not scrapping related and create a recycle LO. I found myself going all over the house trying to find things to use.

I used a gift card and cut out "Celebrate"
I used a coaster and cut out the "R"
I used a paper towel roll as the background for the word "Recycling"
The Silver flower was cut from the top of a coffee creamer can.
The Superman tag is from my hubby's shirt. (I had been saving that to use on something.)
the red bag is from a gift at Christmas.
the Mountain Dew can was cut from the box.
the yellow trim is from a dress I made.
The Spongebob and the patterned paper is from a magazine.

The title says "Celebrate Recycling, it is the BEST kind of FREE!"Hope you like it!!

Friend LO

I was trying new things with this LO. I have seen LO's where they fold the flowers in half so I tried it. Also used my Versamark to make the flowers on the paper that is vertical. It turned out better than I thought it would.
