will the old photos ever end?

Seems like I am always scrapping old photos lately. There are boxes that keep showing up. I think they are multiplying in the box! lol!!

So here is a LO that I did with a photo from May 07. This is my Nannie, Me, my Twin sister and 2 of our cousins.


I distorted the journaling because it had our full names on it.

Here is a LO with photos from March 08. This was a challenge posted in the Letsscrapdivas.ning.com group. We had to follow a sketch and use a new technique. So I painted on the LO. Not that happy with it. Need to play around with paint and see how I like it.

Here is another LO from photos at Stone Mountain, GA. This one I decided to doodle on and I am not that happy with it. I just can't doodle that well. So I will post it even though I don't want anyone to see it!! lol!!

Here is a LO with an old photo. lol!! It is of me when I was in Kindergarten. May 1979, Yes I am old!!

My Nannie

Well it is National Women's History Month (Thanks Groovy Deb) and I am celebrating my Nannie. This is my dad's mom. She became a single mom when my dad was 8. Her husband died and it was very hard on the family. There were 4 kids. The oldest was 16 and the youngest was 5. They learned to make do. My Nannie often says "If you want something bad enough, you will work hard to get it." She worked outside the home and also had a large garden that they all tended to. It provided most of their food and they sold what was left for cash.

My Nannie will be 90 on May 5th of this year. I cannot wait to go see her. We always go to see her on her birthday and this year will be extra special. She is an amazing person and I love to sit and just listen to all the stories that she tells. Even if I have heard them a thousand times before.

Well, I had the hardest time getting my photos to fit on the page. Not sure what I was doing wrong, but my Great Hubby fixed it for me. Got to love him!!
