Well this is what we woke up to this morning. The big oak tree just gave up and rested on the ground. It is sad. He was so old and now has to be removed. We were lucky that all he did was knock down the power line. Missed the car and van by a foot. It was amazing to say the least. We really enjoyed his shade! The yard will be lonely with out him!! I am sad!!

Well me and My hubby celebrated our 1st anniversary on 10-20 and we decided to have a party to celebrate with friends. But it was not your ordinary party. We had a hat party. We offered prizes for the best hats and there were some awesome hats. Here are a few of them. It was amazing how creative people were.

Christmas Cards for a swap
Here are the Christmas cards I did for a swap on Cafemom! I wanted to do abstract. I think I pulled it off. I hope that the others in the swap like it too!!
The green paper is by DCWV and the brads are by Joanns. The red and cream colored paper I had on hand and do not know who made it. The cards are Value cards from my local scrap store.

This is what I have been doing!!!
Well I have been busy getting ready for the craft fair on the 18th and here are some photos of the purses I have made. I still have about 12 left to sew and I am finishing the mini albums that I am making to sell also. I have been so busy making the purses that I have not been able to scrap much. Sad!! But I am excited to sell these and have money for Christmas.

This is the biggest purse. I have made 4 of these, but my mom and SIL claimed 2 of them. I have 4 more cut out to sew and will probably make even more of them.

These little wristlet purses are perfect for teens and people who do not carry much in their purse.

These purses are great too. They have pockets on the inside for your phone or wallet. I am using one of these. Perfect size for me.

This is a little wristlet purse. I love the size!!

My crazy son
OK, I decided I will add these photos before I scrap them. My youngest son has always wanted a Mohawk... so we cut his hair and spiked it in a mohawk the other night. It was crazy. The craziest thing is that my hubby knew how to get it to stick up (Hair spray and an iron)... seems that he had a mohawk in his younger days. lol!! learn something new everyday!! We did cut the mohawk down to about an inch now. He has not spiked it to go to school yet, I think he wants to do that tomorrow.
Challenge in Let's Scrap

Here was a sketch challenge yesterday in Let's Scrap. I love the way the LO came out. It was a great sketch.
The photo is of my middle son. He has the prettiest curls and he hates it when people tell him he should have been a girl. So the title say "Curls, not just for girls" One thing is for sure, the curls get the girls!!!
