If It's Groovy design team LO's for October!

I can finally post my October LO's for the If It's Groovy Blog. We had a great challenge posted this month. There are still a few days to participate. The challenge was to create a LO that has a one word title. Here is my LO:

Beautiful

I also design for the "Sweetheart" team. We design LO's that are just about boys. I love the one I did this month. I scrapped an old photo of my boys in their Halloween costumes. Here it is:

Scrappy time!! (Finally)

I had a few hours today to create and decided to start by cleaning up my work space. Then I got 2 LO's done. For the first LO I used a Julie Bonner sketch from 52 sketches - 52 weeks.

The next one I created on my own. I love that I found some old photos. It has helped me to start creating again.

Embellished LO's!!

Here are the new photos of the previous LO's. I added more embellishments and I am happier with them now. I love these old photos. My boys have grown sooo fast. How can they be so old?

Did not do a lot to this one. Just added the year and the dots on the photo.

Added the stamped images and doodling to this one.

I am crazy!

So once i uploaded the LO's yesterday I really did not like them, so I went back and added some bling and stamped images to the LO's. I will take photos and post them. They are drying now. SO I feel better about the LO's now. I was really disliking them. lol!! So maybe my Mojo is coming back to me. I would be so happy if it would come to stay forever!!!

Found some old photos!!

I love it when I find some old photos that I did not remember having. I was looking through some scrapbooking boxes and found some photos that someone had given me. They were from 1998!! My boys were so little. It is amazing how fast they grow. I would never have guessed it would have gone by so fast. Seems like yesterday they were 7, 6 and 4!! Now they are 18, 17 and 15!!!

Here are the LO's I did with the old photos...

I added stickles to the cut outs to make them 3D. I love Stickles!!! All the paper and embellishments were from a kit. Not sure who made it! Will have to see if I can find the packaging so that I can share the company with you. I really like the paper!!

I scrapped!!!!!

Well, that is a big deal to me lately. I have been so busy that it is hard to scrap. So tonight I sat at my table and scrapped some old photos of my son in Cub Scouts. I am not that happy with them, and will add more later. But I was happy to be creating again.

Here are the LO's, unfinished...

Never a dull moment!

With a house full of boys, I guess it should be expected!! But goodness. I am only one person.

My life always gets interesting when there is no time for it!! That is just how it goes. So last Wednesday, Sept 30th I was sitting down to scrap when my oldest son calls me and says I need to come pick him up, he thinks he broke his hand. So with a night at Urgent Care they say all is fine. But by Friday his hand looked so bad that we went to our regular dr who put him in a splint and told us to see the Orthopedist on Monday. So on Monday the 5th, he gets a cast. Here is a photo:

The 5th was also my middle son's 17th birthday. So I was running all day to prepare. We had the family over for pizza and cake. It was great. The kids always love to get together.
Michael

He has saved for a car and was looking at a Jeep that was for sale. He took us to the lot and wanted to buy it. But my dad told him to have a mechanic look at it first. So we left with out it. He was sad but understood. Then yesterday I went and bought the Jeep!! We picked him up from school with it. He was so happy to see it. I think he was crying... Don't tell him I said that. lol!!

Here he is in the 1989 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4x4!!

He has a lot of work to do to get it running great, but the engine and transmission are all in great shape. The rest is not that expensive to fix. It will give him something to look forward to and to appreciate!!

So that has been my life this week.

I hope to scrap tomorrow, but we will see. Hubby has the rest of the week off, so not sure of our plans.

Have a great week!!

Teaching the kids to scrap!!

I love to help the kids in the family learn to scrap. My brother's oldest daughter loves to come over and use my stuff. She is 6, but is a little artist in the making. She has always been a creative kid. When she was only 2 she could draw all the Spongbob characters. So On Friday she came over to hang out and we ended up scrapping and creating. She just loved it. She then called me on Saturday and came over again to finish the LO's she started. But this time she brought her own stuff. She had talked my mom into buying her some "Disney Princess" chipboard pieces and she had a blast using them. Here are the LO's that she created. I did help her a little bit, but not much. She likes to do it on her own. I love to watch her look through my stuff and try to figure out what will look good. I think I will make a habit of having her over to scrapbook with me.

Here are her LO's...

This is the LO she did with photos from my wedding 10-20-07

Here is a LO she did with some of her baby pictures. She loved that I found my old photos!!!

She even hand wrote the journaling on it!! She was so proud of herself.

52 Sketches... 52 Weeks sketch #39

I love 52 sketches... 52weeks ning group. I have gotten so many LO's done this year thanks to Julie Bonner and the design team! This time I decided to break out the old photos that I still need to scrap. I have some from 1999 that I found recently in a box in the closet. I was so happy to find them. I remember taking many of the photos and I wondered what happened to them. I have wanted to scrap all week, but things kept getting in the way. From sick kids, to hurt kids, to friends in need. They all come before my scrapping. But it was nice to sit down tonight and finish this LO that I started last night before my son called to tell me that he thought he broke his hand. So I had to leave it to spend 3 hours at the ER. They said it was not broken, but it looks sooo bad that we will go back to the regular dr tomorrow. Any prayers are appreciated.

So on to the LO...

Fishing is fun

I just love the way my boys look. I cannot believe this was so long ago. It seems like yesterday! Time seems to have just flown right by!! It is hard to believe that they are 18, 17 and 15 now!!!

Happy Scrapping,
