Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas day Eleven

This was another fun one to make too. I love using embossing powders. Of course I now have a mess to clean up, but it will have to wait until I finish the last tag.

Here is my interpretation of the 11th tag:

Tag 11

I love how the dictionary page looks. I am always amazed by all the ideas Tim gives us.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas day Ten

This tag was fun to make. I love to recycle things and this was perfect. I used a Grundgeboard package to make the clear cover. I did not have the snowflake embossing folder so I used a swirl one. I think it looks great!!

Here is my interpretation of the 10th tag:

Tag 10

I think it turned out very nice!

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas day Nine

This tag was fun to make. I love making these flowers but find it hard to use them on scrapbook pages. I love how it looks on a tag and will use them again.

Here is my interpretation of the 9th tag:

Tag 9

I love the colors of it also.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas day Eight

Here is the 8th tag. I tried to copy what Tim did, but mine did not turn out as good. I still like it and I will use the technique again. It just takes practice.

Here is my interpretation of his 8th tag:

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas day Four

Here is my interpretation of Tim's 4th tag:

I love how it turned out. I had a hard time finding a Santa image that I wanted to use. But once I found this one, it was perfect.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas day three

Ok, the third tag was challenging. I did not have the tree stamp and I wanted to make a smaller tag. But over all I think it turned out great!!

Here is my interpretation of his 3rd tag:

Hope you are able to make some of these great tags too!

Tim Holtz is amazing. I could never come up with these ideas on my own.

Here is my interpretation of his 2nd tag:

I did not have the stamp he used and I did not have the materials he used, but I think it turned out pretty good. I love it.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas day one

I love making these tags. I started last year and I am addicted!! I love that he explains everything so well. Makes it so much easier to make them.

Here is my interpretation of his first tag.

Another month gone by!

I often wonder where the time goes! It seems like we were just getting our swim suits out! Halloween has come and gone and now we are about to celebrate Thanksgiving. I often wonder why time goes so much faster now than it did 5 or 10 years ago? Now that the boys are older, life seems to move so much faster.

I have several projects that I need to get finished by Christmas. Time to get busy. I guess I need to make a list of what I need to buy and start crafting!!!!

Dear Christmas, please don't sneak up on me!!! I need advanced notice of your arrival!!!

Some scrappy time!

I was able to get a few LO's made in the last few weeks. I love how some of them turned out. Here are my favorite ones:

I hope to get more done by the end of the year. I have not been able to do as many LO's as I wanted to do this year. I am so busy, it is hard to find time.

Happy Scrapping!!!

Vacation time!!!

Rob and I decided to take a short vacation to celebrate our anniversary. Rob planned it all out and he did a wonderful job. We drove to Orlando on Thursday the 21st and stayed until Sunday the 24th. We have annual passes to Disney and Universal so we had a blast. We were even able to do Halloween Horror Nights at Universal. Here are a few pictures...

We had a great trip, even though I was sick with a sore throat and cough. We were able to take our time and have fun. We were even able to see Captain EO! I was so happy to see that they brought that back to Epcot.

Now time to get the photos printed and scrapped. They will have to wait until I get the other photos finished. That could take months at the rate I am going.

Busy, Busy, Busy...

Life seems to be moving much faster. Where did September go....

October is always a very busy month for us.

October 5th, my middle son turned 18 years old. My Aunt also had her birthday (Not saying her age!)

October 7th, Mom and Dad celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary!!

October 9th, My 91 year old grandmother flew in with my Aunt for a visit. We were so happy to see them. They live in Maryland. So they came a long way.

Mathew is the oldest great Grandchild, and we realized that Mathew is 19 and was born is 1991, Nannie is 91 and was born in 1919. We love numbers so this was very cool to us.

October 10th, We spent the day with all the family. Even the cousins we never see. I was nice to get together at mom and dad's and have a cook out.

October 11th, We made dinner at Mom and Dad's with Nannie and Aunt Linda. It was nice to sit and talk.

the rest of the month is just as busy....

October 14th, We are having a great celebration for Michael's birthday and Graduation.

October 20th, We celebrate Mom's birthday and Me and Rob's 3 year anniversary.

October 22nd, We head out for a mini vacation, just Rob and I.

October 29th, My brother's birthday.

October 30th, My nephews birthday.

October 31st, HALLOWEEN!!!!

So this month has been busy and gets busier as we move on. I wonder when I will have time to create. I have been working on some Christmas gifts, but they are not done. I really need to get to work on them. I also have been working on my Halloween costume. I will be Luigi from Super Mario Brothers. Should be fun, we are dressing up at work. My co-worker is dressing up as Mario. I will post pictures for sure!!

$2 Flea Market Find!!!

I found some amazing things at the Flea Market last weekend. My favorite thing was this bag of stamps that I found. They are all old stamps. I was amazed that they were only $2. There has to be a hundred of them. Now I need to figure out what to do with them.... Any suggestions??

Eyelet setters... love them, hate them?!?!?

I have several Eyelet setters that I have bought over the years. I even bought the Big Bite, by Crop-a-dile. But none are as good as this one by Making Memories!!!

Photobucket

I have had this one for years and I hope that it never breaks. It is an amazing little tool. If you don't believe me, see for yourself...

Here are the backs of some eyelets set with this little amazing tool...
Photobucket

Here is a close up of them next to other eyelets that were set with different tools...
Photobucket

You can see that the other tools do not set them like this little tool does. It is amazing. The only other eyelet setter that can compare, in my opinion, is the Silent Setter by Provo Crafts. All others fall short. Or maybe I just don't know how to use them... but you would think that you could figure it out or it isn't worth buying.

Thank you Making Memories for making an amazing little eyelet setter!! I love it!!!

I love when I can create!!

I did not have much time this weekend, but I seemed to squeeze in a few minutes here and there and was able to get a few LO's done!! I love the Easter LO I did and the other 2 are ok. I will probably add more to them.

Here is the Easter LO:
Photobucket

Here is a Taekwondo LO I did:

Here is another one I did. Picnic in July:

I was also able to finish the alterations on the wedding dress I have been working on. Now I am going to alter the mother's dress. It is not as difficult. It was nice when the Bride tried on the dress and it fit perfectly!! I was so happy and so was she.

So I am back!!! I am making time to create, because I am a happier person when I am creating!!

Happy Crafting!!

What I have created this summer...

I have created a few LO's this summer. Not as many as I was hoping, but I am happy with what I have created.

These LO's are from our trips to Universal Studios in Orlando. We went for the July 4th weekend. We had a great time. We love Harry Potter, so we had a blast.
