Successful Black Friday Shopping!!

I am a little late with this, but it takes a few days to catch up on sleep and function correctly! We had a great time camping out at Best Buy and we were able to get the TV and Computer we wanted! We also got all the door buster items at Walmart and Kohl's that we wanted. Over all it was a lot of fun and we had a great time with family and friends!

What a week!

This week has been a busy week. The most exciting day was Thursday. I went to Painting with a Twist and had a blast with a few work friends. It was so much fun!! I am already trying to plan my next painting time. Here is the finished painting from Thursday's class:

My weekend LO's!

I was so happy to get some LO's done! I did not spend a lot of time, but I was able to get a few done. Creating helps releave stress for me!!! I love to create and share what I have created.

Well I have not been able to make as many LO's as I wanted this year, but I did manage to make several that I really like. I don't think I have posted these yet.

Great time with family

We had a great time with mom and dad at the fair tonight. It was nice to walk around and enjoy ourselves. Of course we don't ride the rides, but it was fun to watch everyone else ride them!!

Why does fair food taste so good?? Dad and I had a Bradley Sausage dog, Cameron had pizza, Rob had a pulled pork sandwich, mom had a turkey leg and Madison had crab cakes! For dessert we had Funnel cake!! So yummy!!

I wish I could have eaten more food! I would have loves to try the fried Oreos! Or the fried Butter!! Madison did try the fried pickles and he said they were amazing!! I am glad the fair is not here all the time, or I would be in trouble!!!

Ok, I plan on scrapping tomorrow! I am looking for inspiration. Wonder what I will find!!

It is Friday!!!!!!

I am so happy it is Friday!!! We are going to the fair tonight and I am planning on Scrapbooking tomorrow!!!! I would like to stop by Hobby Lobby on the way home and see what I need! Lol!!

I will share what I make!!

We finally have an approved Home Study!!!!!

We have been on the road to adoption for over a year now. We finally have an approved Home Study!!!!! That means that we are able to request information on any kids that are available for adoption in the US!!

We have found a few that we are interested in and we hope to get more information on them soon!! We are praying for a placement by Christmas! That would make an amazing Christmas present!!!!

Back to blogging

It always seems that I get so busy and I just don't make time for blogging. I want to change that!

I am going to make a point to add a post at least once a week!! I think I can do that, especially now that I have the blogger app on my iPhone!!!

Charms!!!

I am so excited. I joined a charm swap with Roni at InkStains. I cannot wait to see all the charms. Here is a close up of the clay impression of my charm:

Summer Fun!!

We love to go to the beach. Even though my boys are older now, they still love to tag along. My sister came into town for the weekend so we headed to the beach on Saturday. It was a lot of fun and VERY hot. Rob and I rode the bike down and the boys drove the van with a few friends. The bike ride was not that enjoyable because it was so hot. But it was nice to get in the ocean once we got to the beach!!

Madison brought 2 kites and the weather was perfect for kite flying!!




The boys found some interesting sea life:







Rob rode the bike back home, but I rode in the van. Too much sun for me and it was nice to sit in a seat rather than on one!!



This is why we love living in Florida. The beach is so close!

Sketch 87 - Little Shop of Sketches

I am having so much fun scrapping my childhood photos. I would never have thought this would be so fun. I was searching for sketches and I found Little Shop of Sketches.

I love these old photos that I have printed. I have never seen so many photos of me and my sister when we were little. I would love to have more photos of us as we got older, but I am having fun with these. Who knows, maybe I will raid my parents closet and see what photos I can find after I scrap these!

My Uncle sent my dad a disc with old photos on it. My dad was nice enough to share it with me and I am so excited to scrap these photos. I have been able to scrap a few pages and I just LOVE them. I think it is the photos that make me so happy, but that is making me scrap!! So I have MOJO again!!!!

Pencil Lines sketch 243

I love to use sketches to help create scrapbook pages and this weekend I was looking on line and I found Pencil Lines. I was so happy to find them. They were bookmarked on my computer before it crashed. SO glad I found them again. They have a great sketch for this week. Go check it out.

Birthday Layouts!

I sat down to scrap and crop with a friend online and saw my Birthday photos and decided that I would scrap my birthday photos and Rob's Birthday photos. I love how they turned out.

My Birthday gift!!

I am such a lucky person...

My hubby knew I wanted a new camera, so he started looking at them a few months ago. Now he did not ask me what kind I wanted so when he decided on the camera he showed me the one he wanted to buy me and my reaction told him it was not a good choice. Poor man!!! So after I explained that I wanted a bigger and better camera than I already had, he understood.

So he went looking again and he made some great choices. He sent me to the store to look at some that he was wanting to get and I found this one:



It was a close out camera and it was perfect!!!! I have had it for a few weeks and I have already taken over 700 photos!!!! I am in love!! Now I need to buy a new lens. I will probably do that this weekend!

I had a lot of fun making these LO's. I used a sketch that was at www.pencillines.com.

I decided to use some old photos on the LO. I have had these photos for years and they have been hanging around my desk for months just waiting for the perfect sketch. They were perfect!!

I made 2 LO's because I always make a LO for me and a LO for my son. That way I can give each of my kids the LO's and keep one for myself when they get married.

So, here they are...

Busy, Busy, Busy...

It seems that life gets busier the older I get. I have been so busy that I have not had time to post. But I will do better!! One of my goals this year was to post on my blog more. So I need to do that!
