Sorry I have been MIA!

Seems that I have too much going on in my life right now. lol!!! I am always doing something and I just could not find time to post til now.

Lets see if I can catch you up on what I have been doing.

Mini Album. This is a gift for a friend!!








An Altered Canvas. THis is a gift for the boys Nanna!! I know that she will love it. I had a great time making it. It is a transfer image from a transparency. I think I will have to make one for myself.

Here is a LO that I did for a group on Cafemom. We were to do a LO with our Hubby, or man in our life and the title had to be "You rock my world"!!



I also have been working hard on some Design Team LO's that I will share later. Can't show you til they are published. I will post them here as soon as they are published with the design team. So check back in a few days. I also was chosen for a new design team. I can't wait to tell you all about it!!!!

The second day of the online Crop!

Well I was able to get a few more challenges that were posted on Lets Scrap Divas. Go over and take a look at all the challenges posted.

Here are the LO's I did.

This was a sketch challenge and we had to use our favorite cupcake for inspiration.

My favorite cupcakes lately are the Filigre ones. They are so pretty!! So here is my LO with all the swirls.

Here is another sketch challenge that I did. I love how the title came out. I used embossing powder! I love this stuff. The cool thing is I used a bunch of letters that were all different colors and you would never know.

This was a challenge to make a home decore item in St. Patty's day theme. Here is my shamrock!!


I took the photo before the top layer was completely dry.

So that is what I got done. Of course I also had a great time talking to everyone online. It is always great to attend a crop and never have to leave my house. That means I do not have to pack all my stuff up to take with me. I just love these online crops!!

Well I was able to participate in some of the challenges today. I wanted to do more but life seemed to get in the way, along with my kids having a car accident this morning. They are all fine, but the SUV looks like it will be totalled. Not a good thing. But it can be replaced. The boys are all that matter at this point.

So with that being said, I am lucky to have gotten the 3 LO's that I got done.

Here is a LO from the Simon Says game that Kathy hosted. I had so much fun.


It is amazing that we all had the same instructions, but all our pages turned out different!! I just love this game!!!

will the old photos ever end?

Seems like I am always scrapping old photos lately. There are boxes that keep showing up. I think they are multiplying in the box! lol!!

So here is a LO that I did with a photo from May 07. This is my Nannie, Me, my Twin sister and 2 of our cousins.


I distorted the journaling because it had our full names on it.

Here is a LO with photos from March 08. This was a challenge posted in the Letsscrapdivas.ning.com group. We had to follow a sketch and use a new technique. So I painted on the LO. Not that happy with it. Need to play around with paint and see how I like it.

Here is another LO from photos at Stone Mountain, GA. This one I decided to doodle on and I am not that happy with it. I just can't doodle that well. So I will post it even though I don't want anyone to see it!! lol!!

Here is a LO with an old photo. lol!! It is of me when I was in Kindergarten. May 1979, Yes I am old!!
This was a challenge that was posted on Cafemom in the Scrapnmoms group. Go check it out. I am happy with how it turned out. I might add a few more flowers, but need to go buy some!! Hey that is a good reason to go to the scrap store!!

My Nannie

Well it is National Women's History Month (Thanks Groovy Deb) and I am celebrating my Nannie. This is my dad's mom. She became a single mom when my dad was 8. Her husband died and it was very hard on the family. There were 4 kids. The oldest was 16 and the youngest was 5. They learned to make do. My Nannie often says "If you want something bad enough, you will work hard to get it." She worked outside the home and also had a large garden that they all tended to. It provided most of their food and they sold what was left for cash.

My Nannie will be 90 on May 5th of this year. I cannot wait to go see her. We always go to see her on her birthday and this year will be extra special. She is an amazing person and I love to sit and just listen to all the stories that she tells. Even if I have heard them a thousand times before.
